Business Analyst / Quality Analyst / Junior PM [Philippines]


 

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Business Analyst with some QA testing experience and a passion for assisting in the development of interactive web and mobile applications to join our dynamic Fintech solutions team.

Every project is different and brings its own set of challenges. Expect to be working on a roster of brand name clients from around the globe including Asia, Australia, Western Europe, Great Britain and the US.

The role will have a key focus on working with our design and technical and development teams to document requirements and develop tasks for handoff to our Agile development teams. You will also be involved in QA testing of these requirements so will get to ensure the outcomes from your requirements will meet clients’ needs. In addition, you will likely need to undertake some Project Management activities so experience in this area would be valued.

You may be required from time to time to facilitate the Scrum events including Refinement, Daily Stand Up, Sprint Planning and Retrospective. You will also assist in the delivery of management information to key business and Technology stakeholders. You will be collaborative in nature and ready to support and be supported in our “flat-structured” development environment. You will need to be comfortable working within an Agile software development process and be flexible enough to adapt to changing conditions and approaches.

Candidates will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to see the client perspective in the delivery of quality solutions. Among other projects you will be working on developing robo-advice tools and calculators which will also involve adding new features, and liaising with designers, developers, business and senior management. You will be part of a well-established and dynamic team.

A modified AUS work shift schedule will be followed

  • Be knowledgeable and cognizant of client needs to understand the full scope of client projects and work assignments ensuring all aspects of these assignments are met.
  • Accurately document requirements and provide input into the Agile Task Documentation process
  • Review business requirements with development and infrastructure teams to confirm understanding of business needs
  • Verify successful implementation of deliverables into testing and production environments and ensure resolution of all issues when applicable
  • Perform QA testing
  • Collaborates effectively on projects with nominated business and technical representatives.
  • Build positive relationships with the client, design and development teams.
  • Partner with the development and design teams in the research and resolution of system and process problems in a timely and quality manner
  • Assist in client and internal requirements gathering workshops /meeting facilitation
  • Document business and functional solution requirements
  • Provide input into and assist in the defining of user stories and development tasks
  • Ownership of creation of testing requirements for user stories and development tasks
  • Undertake functional testing and provide QA signoff that developed tasks meet client requirements
  • Collaborate on the defining of testing strategies and plans
  • Implementation of agreed testing strategies and plans
  • Manage User Acceptance Test execution and approval
  • Make recommendations on process approval
  • Take ownership of QA testing and UAT deliverables and signoffs
  • Assist in the facilitation of the Scrum events including Refinement, Daily Stand Up, Sprint Planning and Retrospective

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years relevant experience
  • Proficient Business Analysis skills, including User story creation, user test preparation and management
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Power BI knowledge an advantage
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in developing Gherkin-syntax
  • Accessibility testing experience
  • Experience with Excel Office Scripts & Power Automate
  • Selenium automated testing script development experience
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and have a commitment to appropriate documentation
  • Detail oriented, service oriented, committed to producing high quality results within strict deadlines, and focused on the achievement of team goals
  • Familiarity with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be a flexible, fast learner/self-starter with a willingness/ability to acquire new skills and work on projects outside immediate area of expertise
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to deconstruct problems and/or processes into logical parts
  • Strong communication skills, and with ability to tailor communication style and medium to external & internal audiences

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Php140,000.00 - Php150,000.00 per month
