Our client is a minimally invasive medical device company based in the Twin Cities. This position is responsible for providing marketing leadership for product lines to assure attainment of business objectives including development of the annual marketing plan, revenue forecasts and expense plans.
Responsibilities:
- Tactical thinker that can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics and then execute those plans.
- Set strategy, develop business plan, including budget, sales goals, expenses and resources to differentiate the company in the market.
- Provide market assessment of key trends, key players, and competitive landscape.
- Develop value proposition that includes 3rd party involvement in total solutions for customer
- Work with the Medical Education team on specific courses to enhance physician training and knowledge of the products and messaging (operational and clinical).
- Develop and support a referral channel marketing program.
- Understand and own the "Cradle to Grave" of Product Marketing: product conception, product definition and development, product launch, growth and maintenance, product re-invention and end of life.
- Develop competitive positioning strategies.
- Support new product development process and create a robust product pipeline.
- Drive consistent brand messaging throughout all communications.
- Develop a systematic approach to managing the business portfolio.
- Create a customer segmentation process and strategy.
- Develop customer needs assessments across the entire purchasing and use cycle.
- Manage the marketing communication plan.
- Develop and drive customer and sales promotions that will support the business strategies.
- Support the sales organization with knowledge, tools and leadership to help drive the business.
- Define pricing strategies.
- Develop metrics to measure the performance of the marketing organization and personnel.
- Update and provide ongoing support of sales training programs.
- Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
- Maintain compliance to the company Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Strong product management skills (up-stream and down-stream).
- Excellent communication and influence management skills are required.
- Proven track record in New Product Definition and Life Cycle Management with successful products that are poised to achieve full product potential and market penetration.
- Must be formally trained in professional Product Management.
- Successful people management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree required. MBA preferred.
- 6-10 years of progressive marketing experience in the medical device industry.
- Interventional cardiology, radiology, and vascular surgeon experience strongly desired.
