More details about this occupation opportunity kindly read the description below. We have been engaged by our client to recruit for a Product Manager (Upstream) â€" Product Lifecycle Management . This perso! n will interface closely with R&D, International/Downstream Marketing, Sales, RA/QA, and Operations to support commercialized product globally and drive revenue. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of relevant experience in Product Development, Product/Technical Marketing, and/or clinical expertise with significant focus in the medical device industry . Experience must include demonstrated track record of market research.
Responsibilities :
Assist with executing the annual product franchise plan. Develop product strategies, market positioning, pricing, programs, competitive analysis, and distribution pathways to best grow the franchise while remaining consistent with the overall business strategy. Monitor customer feedback and report customer unmet needs to Discovery Team for further investigation including understanding the clinical use of the products and desired outcomes. Conduct post-market surveillance on any legacy products identified as part of th! e annual PMS Plan. Analyze the product portfolio and develop a! nd manage the global rationalization strategy including complete business analysis and justification for the rationalization plan, seeking approvals from Senior Management where necessary, initiation of the Product Obsolescence Request form, and sending out notices to all personnel impacted by the plan. Develop relationships with surgeon product champions who will influence broader market acceptance of Company legacy products. Work with R&D to compare the performance characteristics of Company products to competitors as requested by the SBCs. Translate performance characteristic superiority into benefits for the customer who purchases Company products including preparing a market positioning strategy to guide the team to collect/provide data such as clinical benefits, economic value, engineering proof, etc. Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs on all product labeling such as unit and box labels, instructions for use and user manuals, etc., draft labeling and manuals, and ini! tiates/oversees the labeling approval process. Collaborate closely with Sales, Quality, and R&D regarding complaint reporting and investigation into root cause analysis. Collaborate closely with Sustaining Engineering to support Change Order review/approval and to support projects related to compliance standards such as RoHS, IEC, etc. Participate in the forecasting of units to be sold and the net selling price. Work with International Product Manager to ensure International Launch support for legacy devices into new markets. Work in the field with Sales, Sales Management, R&D, and clinical team. Maintain expertise as the "product and clinical specialist" by attending procedures, courses, workshops, tradeshows, and staying abreast of industry changes and advancements. Communicate or educate necessary clinical usage of devices to key stake holders such as Discovery team members, R&D, and Downstream Marketing. Develop processes and document ation for activities required for t! he organization/department to be successful including implementation of! the process and training individuals new to them. Respond to requests for professional expertise and advice. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Marketing or equivalent experience is required; an advanced degree (MBA/MS/MD) is preferred. 2+ years of relevant professional experience in Product Development, Product/Technical Marketing, and/or clinical expertise with significant focus in the medical device business is required. Engineering, Clinical, or Sales experience is preferred. Must have a demonstrated track record in Market Research. VOC (Voice of Customer) with physicians is preferred. Must have demonstrated track record in achieving results, profitability, growth, and business leadership in the medical device market. The following physical demand is required: -Travel 30% The following work environment condition exists: -Infectious Disease exposure
