If you are selected to join SpecialtyCare as a Clinical Technician, you will be trained to work in the operating room and assist Physicians, Perfusionist and other hospital personnel by operating and monitoring the cell saver machine during open heart and orthopedic surgeries. This position serves hospitals in city and surrounding area.
As a Clinical Technician with SpecialtyCare you may perform the following duties after receiving appropriate training and certification through our in-house training program:
- Autologous Blood Processing
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumping
- Open Heart Support Assistance
- Perfusion Laboratory Services/Lab Analysis Equipment
- Electronic Physiological Monitoring
- Other clinical services as assigned
We prefer candidates who have a college degree with an emphasis on healthcare, medical or science degree, healthcare experience or training; OR individuals who are in school or planning to go to school for a healthcare, medical or science degree.
This position does require the regular use of reliable transportation to work at multiple locations as needed in Urbana, IL and surrounding area.
Must be able to successfully complete on the job training including certification and company sponsored education modules.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
Must be able to work flexible hours as scheduled, including weekends and holidays, and to be on-call as scheduled. Also must be able to respond to calls or pages within 30 minutes.
