Baxter â€" St. Paul, MN engages in the development and manufacture of biological and mechanical products used by surgical specialties for the repair and reconstruction of soft tissue damaged or destroyed by disease or injury. Baxter â€" St. Paul’s products include implantable biomaterials for soft tissue repair, devices for microsurgery, and surgical tools. Its biomaterial products comprise Peri-Strips, which are biomaterial stapling buttresses used as reinforcement at the surgical staple line to reduce fatal leaks; Tissue-Guard that is used to repair and replace dama ged tissue in cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and neurologic procedures and Veritas for use in surgery to repair soft tissue. The company’s devices for microsurgery comprise GEM Microvascular Anastomotic Coupler, which enables microsurgeons in various surgical specialties to perform anastomotic microsurgical procedures, including plastic and reconstructive, head and neck, and orthopedic and hand; and GEM Microvascular Anastomotic Flow Coupler which enables microsurgeons to detect blood flow and confirmation of vessel patency following end-to-end anastomosis of vessels.

Description:

  • This position supports the Value Stream, and Production floor by creating and updating procedures, visual aids and batch records, and also labeling and IFU’s.
  • Documenting processes, equipment specifications, qualification plans, tool specifications, and batch records; completing document change for these activities when required under the guidance of Engineer ing staff.
  • Manage and update final product labeling and labeling database.
  • Coordinates events and activities.
  • Updates and develops policies and internal processes.
  • Processes paperwork for department (i.e. Standard Operating Procedures - SOP's, Licenses).
  • Operates within specific guidelines both internally and externally.
Qualifications

Education and Preferred Qualification

  • The equivalent combination of 2 years of post-secondary education or 2-5 years of related experience in the field.
  • Specialized knowledge in specific function or specialty a plus.
  • Experience with Loftware or similar labeling software
  • Proficiency with Intranet and Internet and strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience with Quality Management Systems.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize multiple projects/workflow and manage time efficiently in order to meet established timeli nes.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction from manager and/or supervisor. Independently identify and recommend solutions/process improvements.
  • Manage time independently within assigned responsibilities.
  • Must have exceptional service-oriented skills, professional communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong work ethic.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Assists all levels of engineers with their tasks and assignments.
  • Basic understanding of GMP requirements.
