Operations Manager

Lead the overall operations of the IEC Low Voltage Motor Division’s own Strategic Supply Unity and be responsible for the effective and successful management of productivity, quality control, and safety. Inspire and lead a team to oversee all aspects related to operations - Project Management & Control, Produc-tion Implementaton & Maintenance, Procurement, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Logistic, Planning & Fulfillment. Manage, develop and direct logistics operations (including central and distributed stock) to effec-tively control both, inbound and outbound shipping of products, systems and services to customers world-wide.
Your responsibilities
- Work closely with the General Manager of the Strategic Supply Unit and wider global management team to set and/ or implement policies, procedures, and systems and follow through with implementation
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
- Prepare annual budget, oversee progress, and determine actions as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources.
- Develop programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout operations.
- Formulate project plans, implement schedules, and track deliveries to ensure on time delivery.
- Allocate tasks to resources and coordinate with the team to ensure appropriate product availability in stock and successful completion of deliveries.
- Be in charge of the inventory strategy in coordination with the markets organization - purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
- Provide support to sales staff to improve understanding of customer requirements in order to identify both potential constraints and solutions to these requirements
- Provide internal and external customer support such as but not limited to order assistance, payment-related assistance and coordinate with relevant resources to have complete case ownership
- Operationally lead issue resolutions such as quality issues, late deliveries, non-conforming products, or project services. Manage root cause analysis, drive corrective actions including claim management.
Your background
- 10 years of experience in operations management or related field with solid background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales Unit or Customer Support.
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- Solid understanding of financial management - budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management.
- Knowledge in the Quality profession and ideally be able to present accreditations/ certification across the quality profession - Lean Six Sigma Black/ Master Belt, Lean Manufacturing Certification, Total Quality Management Certification, Supplier qualification (ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, PPAP, APQP), Quality Management tools as VSM, DMAIC, Ishikawa, 5WHY, 8D`s, etc.
- System & IT-Skills/ experience (SAP is a plus).
- Experience in managing a team and motivate people to achieve ambitious goals.
