About the Role – Overnight Host
This position requires working as an overnight bellperson, doorperson, and valet parker, and several other Guest Services responsibilities as assigned per shift. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, a professional appearance, the ability to work a flexible schedule, drive a manual shift vehicle, and a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Previous hotel experience is a plus. This position can be fast paced with continuous customer interaction. This person must have the ability to lift a moderate weight and have good knowledge of the local area.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Assisting with guest requests such as room deliveries, valet, bell and any other requests
- Front Office Host basic check-in/out, reservations responsibilities
- Running the technical aspect of the overnight audit process
- Execution of Forbes Customer Service Elements
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Experience and thorough understanding of guest services
- Responsible for greeting and welcoming guests
- Act as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or information and attend to their wishes and requirements
- Understand customer’s needs and provide them with personalized solutions
- Acquire extensive knowledge of the premises and the nearby venues and businesses to make the most suitable recommendations for guests waiting at the front drive
- Respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution
- Communicate with all other departments efficiently and effectively
- Ensure orderliness and safety guidelines around the valet, guest services, and front drive areas
Wage Information: The expected pay rate for the position is $20.00/ per hour.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experiences in a luxury resort preferred
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Outstanding guest services skills, sophisticated verbal & written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
