At Fairview Mesaba Clinic, Hibbing we are seeking a board-certified nurse practitioner to join our family medicine clinic. Be part of a 40+ physician multi-specialty practice. Practitioners work a 4 day work week.
1-2 years of nurse practitioner experience required.
Practice Information
We are dedicated to providing comprehensive, high quality medical care for the entire family through all stages of life.
The four family medicine physicians work collaboratively with 40 physicians in these specialties: pediatrics, Ob/Gyn, internal medicine, otolaryngology, orthopedics, general surgery and sports medicine. Ties to the University of Minnesota strengthen the ability to access University of Minnesota specialists for questions or phone consults. Many other subspecialists are available through extensive outreach programs.
Onsite services include rehabilitation, pharmacy and diagnostic services including lab, CT and MRI, mammography, and ultrasound.
Practitioners work a 4 1/2-day workweek with an expectation of 28 patient contact hours per week. Clinic hours are Mon.-Fri., 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., every other Sat., 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and every other Sun., 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Urgent care is open week days until 6 p.m. Physicians provide services in urgent care on a rotational basis to correspond with call, every 17th evening. Weekend urgent care coverage is provided in collaboration with the practitioners at St. Mary's Duluth Clinic - Hibbing. Physicians rotate through urgent care every 8th weekend.
We use a primary nursing model where practitioners work primarily with the same CMA/LPN.
The physicians have the ability to round on their own patients at Fairview University Medical Center - Mesabi. Physicians share in weekend rounding responsibilities for the family medicine patients every 17th weekend.
