Minnesota Eye Consultants, P.A., the Midwest’s premier eye care group practice, has an immediate opening for a full time Surgery Referral Coord! inator at our Bloomington location. Hours of this position are M-F from 8:30AM-5:00PM.
The Surgery Referral Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the surgical process for referring doctors’ offices by receiving incoming surgical requests via telephone and fax and contacting patients to schedule surgery and provide patient education for the laser or surgical procedure. The coordinator triages and returns patient phone calls related to the surgical process and serves as the primary surgery scheduler for clinical research patients and procedures performed at outside facilities. This position also serves as a back up to clinical Patient Care Coordinators and meets face-to-face with patients to coordinate the surgical process as needed.
The qualified candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills, be flexible and detail oriented and comfortable with heavy phone work. Two years of medical office or patient care experience required. A! ssociates degree and experience with electronic medical record! s (EMR) preferred.
