Manager, Associate Nurse

Description: Park Nicollet is at present recruited Manager, Associate Nurse right now, this position will be placed in Minnesota. Has direct authority for daily operations of the unit and reports to the Clinical Nursing Director, (CND). This includes responsibilities for processes and activities such ! as hiring, staff development, performance management and evaluations, including discipline and discharge and facilitation of the daily unit schedule. This incumbent leads, manages and evaluates aspects of patient care/outcomes, staff resources, productivity, improvement projects and interdisciplinary collaboration for patient care. Will work variable shifts, as needed to complete responsibilities and meet the needs of the patient care unit. This position will assist in identification of goals and has shared responsibility with the Nurse Manager for process improvements on the unit. Requirements include active MN RN license and Bachelor of Science/Arts in Nursing, or progress towards this degree expected yearly. MSN preferred. Three to four years clinical experience. Management/leadership experience preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Expressed desire/passion to focus on nursing, leadership and management. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growt! h and development principles necessary to provide appropriate ! service and assure safety of patients.
