Buffalo Hospital has more than 400 employees, 180 physicians, and 34 staffed beds. It is a state-of-the-art facility with expanded or new facilities for emergency, urgent care, diagnostic imaging, surgery and outpatient center, cardiac center, sleep center and rehabilitation. The care team is noted for its passion in providing personalized, patient-centered care for nearly 66,000 inpatients and outpatients each year. Resp! onsibilities Provide skilled nursing care to preoperative and ! post operative patients, including PACU, from infancy through geriatric.
Provide care for patients receiving a variety of infusions, bone marrow aspirations, etc. Be a team member exhibiting the Buffalo Hospital Standards of Behavior. Qualifications Education/Experience: BSN Preferred Current experience in preoperative, phase II, PACU, and infusion therapy preferred At least 2 years of med/surg-hospital experience required Licensure/Certifications: ACLS BLS Current RN license Skills: Demonstrated skills in thorough assessment, analysis of data, and weighting of risk and benefits before making a decision Fast learner Demonstrated strong organizational skills Demonstrated skill in flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to frequent changes within a fast paced, ever changing environment Demonstrated skill in working independently with strong problem solving skills Demonstrated ability to work well within a team RN hires with less than 1 year of RN experience must be ! a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or The National League for Nursing) which is inclusive of a clinical rotation in an acute care facility.
