The Division of Surgical Oncology in the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School invites appli! cations for surgeons seeking an academic career in surgical oncology at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor on the tenure track. Candidates must be certified by the American Board of Surgery and have an completed SSO-approved fellowship in surgical oncology or breast surgery and hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Minnesota state medical license. A demonstrated commitment to teaching and a documented record of basic, translational, or clinical research preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities include evaluation and management of patients with benign and malignant breast diseases, breast disease-related research, teaching and training of medical students and residents while advancing the development of the Division of Surgical Oncology and the reputation of the University as a leading research and clinical center for innovative approaches to breast cancer care.
