Preferred Qualifications:
Animal experience

Familiarity with carpentry techniques

Duties/Responsibilities

Clean/disinfect raptor patient rooms, perches, crates, water bowls, bath containers; clean laundry and cleaning rooms; straighten raptor food freezer; minor perch repairs; pick up donated rodents and chickens as requested, other duties as assigned.

Duties might also include cleaning and maintenance of the education raptors including food preparation and feeding, cleaning of mews, and building and maintaining raptor housing.

Program/Unit Description

The Raptor Center specializes in the medical care, rehabilitation, and conservation of eagles, hawks, owls, and falcons.

In a! ddition to treating approximately 800 birds a year, the intern! ationally known program provides training in raptor medicine and surgery for veterinarians from around the world, reaches more than 200,000 people each year through public education programs and events, and identifies emerging issues related to raptor health and populations.
