Responsibilities The Endoscopy technician assists with delegated tasks of direct ! and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registere! d nurse and/or physicians in Endoscopy This technician has the responsibility to assist with the assessment of patient needs and follows through with the designated plan of action Additionally, the Endoscopy Tech is responsible for the care, handling and processing of endoscopy procedural equipment and turnover of the procedure rooms This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age specific needs This individual has the ability to communicate data reflective of the patient's status, delegated tasks and/or functions Qualifications Education/Experience: High school graduate/GED CMA/LPN/CNA Two years health care experience Preferred experience in GI center Endoscopy procedures in clinic setting Experience with High Level Disinfection of equipment Licensure/Certifications: ACLS BLS NA license required unless LPN, CMA or CNA Skills: Flexibility Strong comm! unication skills Works well in a team setting Solid organizational skills Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule Part time position (20 hours/week) Day shift No weekends L113 Contract Location/Community Information With beautiful natural settings along the Mississippi River, St. Paul embodies a large ethnically diverse population with restaurants, cultural entertainment, and shopping venues for everyone.
