MN Oncology Hematology is a specialized medical group of 58 physicians that are dedicated solely to the diagnosis & treatment of cancer & blood disorders. We currently have ! the following FT position available in our Business Office.
Experienced Medical Coding Specialist
Responsible for coordinating and coding Medical Oncology and GYN and Thoracic Surgery visits, E & M. Knowledgeable of all governmental billing and coding rules and regulations. Researches all payer coding guidelines. Resolves coding and billing issues independently. Supports provider education regarding coding practices.
Applicants must be detail oriented, organized, and must possess an excellent command of Insurance payer billing guidelines and have the confidence to interact professionally will all physicians and Mid Level providers.
All applicants must be high school graduates (or equivalent) and must have complete a specialized coding course. Current AAPC CPC certification is required. Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years coding experience and knowledge of multiple 3rd party payer requirements.
Applicants must have a solid knowled! ge of Microsoft Office Suite and a solid skill level for all c! urrent coding reference and resources including internet navigation.
