Department Overview: LAB -OFFICE Highly complex CAP certified hospital laboratory with a unique mix of full-time, part-time, casual staff that provide accurate, timely lab results 24/7 for ER, surgery, in-patients, clinics, physician offices, and out-patients. Our services include Hematology, Chemistry, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Anatomic Pathology, Flow Cytometry, Immunology, and Cytology.

or Every other weekend) Every other weekend- day shift 0630 to 1500 Primary Function:
& Major Responsibilities Responsible for the accurate and timely performance of routine and complex laboratory procedures.
Performs and evaluates diagnostic testing to provide accurate and reliable laboratory results.
Compassionate Service - Placing the needs of those we serve above our own; treating individuals with dignity, respect and empathy.
Treats abnormal results according to policies and procedures.
Performs computer and clerical functions accurately to ensure accurate test ordering and reporting of patient results.
Performs and documents maintenance and troubleshooting procedures on laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper operation.
Reviews, follows and understands established laboratory quality assurance and quality control procedures.
Performs specimen collection and processing to ensure t! he accurate and appropriate performance of patient testing while maintaining patient dignity, comfort and confidentiality.
Complies with laboratory Safety and Infection Control policies to ensure a safe work environment.
Participates in the overall operations of the section(s) and department.
Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
