The role of the neonatal intensive care nurse (NICU nurse) is to provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions requiring surgery or therapy. Working in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) with doctors and other healthcare professionals, the NICU RNs assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high-risk newborns requiring high-technology care, including ventilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.
Required Qualifications
1. 1 year Experience Required
2. NRP
3. MN or compact License
4. PALS

Designated as a Magnet facility by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), this hospital has also received accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and The Joint Commission, which also certified the facility as a Primary Stroke Center.
