Dentist - (Dentistry) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Private Practice ! in Northern Minnesota looking for a long term locum tenens or Associate General Dentist to join their practice. This general dentist will start on a contract basis for a 2-3 month working interview and then become and associate if it is a good fit for both parties.
General dentists (locum tenens) diagnose, prevent and treat problems associated the mouth, such as plaque decay, cavities, and the repair of fractured teeth. They are usually the first point of contact for patients with oral health concerns, referring them to specialists such as endodontists when needed. Dentists are trained to use a wide variety of medical equipment, such as x-ray machines and drills, and are able to diagnose and treat a plethora of oral conditions.
Required Qualifications
This General dentist will need to be able to do all aspects of General Dentistry to include: Fillings (amalgams & composite), extractions (simple & complicated), anterior and molar endo. If you do not fee! l comfortable with some of the procedures they can have anothe! r dentist in the office handle those patients.
Preferred Qualifications
This General dentist will be working Monday through Friday with flexible hours in between 8am and 8pm. All dentist rotate Saturdays and work from 8am to 5pm. You will be seeing 15+ patient per day not including hygiene checks. There are 16 operatories, 3 other full time dentists, and 5 hygienists.
