Inventory Specialist I-Supply Chain

Description: Fairview Health Services is currently interviewing Inventory Specialist I-Supply Chain right now, this job will be placed in Minnesota. This position manages and directs the adjustment of inventory levels of stock and nonstock supplies/equipment throughout the site (to include, but not limited to all patient care areas, surgery, ancillary departments, related clinics). Considers labor and acquisition costs in determining appropriate par levels for cost efficient inventory management. Establishes parameters for equipment levels including rental guidelines. Maintains, verifies and updates the receiving and distribution records and supplies. Make independent judgments and decisions b! ased on analyzing and monitoring inventory levels to authorize! volume purchases regarding inventory levels. Provide communication to all departments regarding changes and updates relating to product descriptions, number, units of measure, stock additions and deletions, and inventory exceptions to supply pathway/procedure pack configurations. Works directly with vendors, suppliers, corporate materials, and department directors and managers. Serve as subject matter expert on Materials Management Information System (MMIS). Recommend process improvements to customers and superiors.

Job Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma. Minimum experience of 1 year working in inventory management or 2 years working in healthcare with medical products. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Nursing or related field and APICS or CMRP (Certified Resource and Materials Professional) and preferred experience of working 2 years in inventory management in healthcare.
