Our client is an emerging Twin Cities medical device company who is a leader in surgical instrument management for hospitals and surgery centers.
Job Description:
The Sales Manager will proactively manage, monitor and evaluate the independent sales network and the development and implementation of customer-specific promotion and pricing strategie! s to deliver targeted results.

Duties:
- Frequent travel and consistent joint sales calls with independent rep groups, establishing and maintaining an excellent working relationship with company independent reps, and new customers.
- Conduct independent sales representative trainings as required.
- Review independent sales representative performance versus plan on a regular basis and provide constructive written and verbal feedback ensuring goals and objectives are achieved.
- Interview and hire key independent representative partners.
- Develop new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business gr! owth, and customer satisfaction.
- Plan/ carry out/supp! ort marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, and trade shows.
- Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
- Make direct sales calls to large healthcare customers.
- Increase sales revenue within the Instrument Protection sales channel according to company goals and expectations. Promoting surgical instrument protection in the hospital and surgery center market.
Candidate must have strong presentation skills and be able to demonstrate their success as a manager and representative in the hospital selling to Nurse Management and the Sterile Processing Department.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain expert knowled! ge in Surgical Instruments and Sterile Processing products, competitive product and current market; participate in continuing education programs.
- Minimum 2 years of capital medical device sales in the hospital market
- Experience with independent sales representatives is a plus
- Prior experience working for a sterile processing department is a huge plus!
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization
- Strong (and documented) track record of sales success
- Great business acumen with ability to travel when required.
- 4-year college degree
- Professional Appearance, Positive Attitude and Excellent Communication Skills with a highly energetic sales personality.
