PROJECT OVERVIEW
Our specialist will help with the migration of Server Jira to Cloud Jira for high-loaded and high-impact system with complex settings, multiple plugins, and dependencies. Customers are expecting to have top-notch expertise and smooth transition while integrating new processes and introducing new features to their Jira. Also, there are plans to integrate with third-party products, such as Plainview AdaptiveWork and Workato.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a system administrator to implement, operate, and maintain the migration of on-prem Jira to Cloud and integration with Clarizen/Planview Adaptivework and Workato. The role also includes ongoing maintenance and day-to-day support of the systems.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain the Atlassian tools to meet the needs of customer’s organization including collaborating with other IT teams to integrate Atlassian tools with other systems
- Gather requirements for business processes, and determine ways to optimize/improve JIRA build and configuration
- Create and maintain Jira projects, workflows, queries, custom fields, screens, and schemes for complex and high-impact projects
- Generate documentation on workflows and processes implemented in JIRA to support runbooks
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Atlassian tools and technologies
- Daily Work activities
- Monitor systems log failure codes and research resolutions, analyzing data and system logs
- Document policies and procedures, suggest new processes to improve performance
- Receives and responds to end-user inquiries and incidents, provide end-user support and training
- Monitor and validate end-user usage and the quality of the tool
- Troubleshoot issues and discuss new technologies
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in providing best practices to configuring JIRA
Requirements
- 4+ years experience in supporting JIRA and/or AdaptiveWork and/or Workato
- Experience with migration from Server Jira to Jira Cloud for complex and high-impact projects
- Participation in discussions with executive-level and tech audiences, detailed project plans creation
- AdaptiveWork (former Clarizen) experience (user, role, security groups management; portfolios/programs, projects, and epics management; troubleshooting inefficient processes and process flows)
- Workato Integration tool experience (maintaining integrations between Jira and AdaptiveWork leveraging Workato; lead in managing the full lifecycle of software used by customer’s organization; follow security recommendations provided by InfoSec and configure alerting of incidents; report and communicate system availability and performance metrics)
- Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies, and management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
- Ability to create logic flow charts and process diagrams based on departmental need
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning ability
- Ability to communicate across the organization and clearly articulate ideas (verbally and in writing)
