Job Title: Fleet controller

Department: Operations

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location:

Key Purpose:

This position exists for the incumbent to be able to manage and control fleet and adhere to safety standards.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Send out Fleet status and Fleet checklists reports to Operations Manager daily.
  • Prepare Accident damaged vehicles for workshops/panel shops and follow up on quotes.
  • Follow up with insurances regarding self-insured vehicles.
  • Manage all vehicle log books.
  • Check and update vehicle registration documents and licence disks.
  • Review and submit daily Missing mileage, local unaccounted, local idle vehicle reports to supervisor,
  • Daily exception reports to Operations Manager.
  • Manage vehicle tracking, distressed tracker signals and attend to tracking installation and de installations.
  • Briefing and De-Briefing of BVO
  • Daily Orders for Windscreens and Tyres.
  • Booking for services for all the vehicles.
  • Report the employee’s attendance to operations manager
  • Liaise with panel shops and workshops to get vehicles ready for customers.
  • Site Administrations, Capture BVO Time-sheet hours and liaise with Payroll Head Office

Qualifications / Knowledge:

· Matric and equivalent related qualifications

· Good knowledge of routes

· Operations Systems and Procedures

· Reporting Procedures

· Health and Safety legislation and procedures

· Competencies / Behaviour / Skills:

· Reliable and assertive

· Problem solving abilities

· Report writing

· Pro-active and ability to take initiative

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 12 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Klerksdorp, North West: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Diploma (Preferred)
