Insurance Product Analyst (M/F) [Luxembourg]

Your next challenge:

  • To provide support to the account managers in the context of BIL's insurance brokerage activity and non-brokerage activity, mainly in relation to investment products (dedicated funds, FAS, or others), by accompanying them to meetings if necessary
  • To provide insurance expertise to assist sales staff in finding solutions and setting up files in the context of non-brokerage
  • To ensure, in collaboration with the rest of the team, the processing of mail (paper and electronic) and the handling of telephone calls (internal and external)
  • To support the front office and responding to various requests, carrying out the necessary research or contacting companies as required
  • To be compliant with processes and regulatory obligations (IDD, AML, etc.) and ensure the proper execution of transactions: subscriptions, additional payments, arbitrations, repurchases, and non-financial operations, etc., both when receiving client instructions and when monitoring their execution by the companies
  • To encode and track transactions in our internal tool (for brokerage) as well as electronic archiving
  • To develop tailor-made solutions in collaboration with the other departments of the bank by providing insurance expertise on our various core markets
  • Actively participate in the training plan for sub-brokers and sales staff (as a trainer or organiser in conjunction with the companies or other departments of the bank) depending on the areas of expertise required
  • To seek ways to constantly improve and develop both in our internal processes and in our follow-up with insurers
  • To maintain excellent relations with our insurance partners as well as a high level of quality in the files transmitted to them
  • To be the contact point for our partner insurance companies in the context of ongoing operations and business development, by organising and coordinating follow-up committees
  • Participate in certain projects

Your skills:

  • 2/3 years of higher education with a focus on finance, economics, insurance, administration, compliance, or an equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a life insurance company, brokerage firm or private bank is an asset.
  • Approval from the Commissariat Aux Assurances is a plus.
  • Basic legal and tax knowledge (Belgium-Luxembourg-France-Germany), and general knowledge of life insurance products marketed to residents of these countries and their regulatory framework.
  • Analytical skills, solution-oriented
  • Customer- and quality-oriented mindset (listening skills and rigour).
  • Good interpersonal and writing abilities
  • Flexibility and capability to adapt to a wide variety of tasks
  • Team spirit
  • French/English, any other language (Luxembourgish, German, Dutch) is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
