The Veterans Affairs Health Care System (VAHCS) in Minneapolis, Minnesota seeks full-time or part-time BE/BC Vascular Surgery specialists .! The Minneapolis VAHCS is a busy tertiary care medical center which provides vascular surgical services to Veterans with complex vascular disease. The successful applicant must have completed an approved fellowship in Vascular Surgery with endovascular training. In addition, the candidate should have significant post-fellowship endovascular experience. The applicant will be asked to provide a recent operative case list.

The Minneapolis VAHCS is affiliated with the University of Minnesota and the applicant should be eligible for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level at the University of Minnesota, Department of Surgery. A significant tract record in research is strongly preferred. Experience and dedication to supervising and training vascular fellows, residents and medical students is a requirement.

Qualifications & Evaluations

BASIC REQUIREM ENTS:
U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. D egree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Preferred Experience: fellowship in Vascular Surgery with endovascular training tract record in research is strongly interest and experience in developing and teac! hing urologic surgical simulation.
