We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support to our accounting department by assisting with various financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and reconciling financial records. The Account Assistant will work closely with the accounting team and report directly to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable tasks, such as reviewing invoices, ensuring accurate coding, obtaining approvals, and processing payments.
- Handle accounts receivable activities, including issuing invoices, monitoring customer payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and participate in financial audits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions.
- Assist in maintaining organized and efficient filing systems for financial documents.
- Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Account Assistant, Accounting Clerk, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g.,ACCA, CPA, MIA & Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g.,Autocount, MYOB, Million Accounting Software and etc).
