The purpose of this assignment is to develop and deliver the modules content on Cryptocurrencies for UNODC eLearning Platform. The incumbent will also be required to contribute to the delivery of the technical material as required according to the project framework and based on the agreed timeline and perform any other duties as assigned by the Programme Officer.
In particular, the eLearning Content Developer/Consultant will:
- Draft the curriculum eLearning Modules.
- Revise storyboards (instructional design) design and development of the content.
- Attend regular coordination meetings and conference calls with UNODC and eLearning Developer.
- Revise content as necessary based on the feedback
Specific tasks to be performed by the consultant:
- Draft the technical curriculum for eLearning Modules on Cryptocurrencies investigation involving crypto assets seizure, preservation, forfeiture, exclusive custody and control of it until its disposal.
- Provide technical inputs to create engaging and interactive e-learning and simulations for use on multiple devices.
- Provide technical inputs to create engaging learning content layout designs.
- Provide technical inputs to develop visualizing graphics and develop innovative ideas for e-Learning resources.
- Discuss ideas for images, graphics, and animations with team members before applying them in the development.
- Communicate effectively with the development team.
- Maintain project documentation and course folders during the project lifecycle.
- Ensures data security and integrity.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Global Programme on Cybercrime (GLOX76) supports countries in strengthening capacities to prevent and combat cybercrime and has a particular focus on capacities in the areas of cybercrime and abuse prevention, cybercrime investigations and electronic evidence, and international cooperation in criminal matters involving electronic evidence.
Qualifications/special skills- An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in the fields of information technology, computer science, law, criminal law, criminology, public administration, political science, international relations or related fields of criminal justice, crime prevention and/or law enforcement is required . A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Experience of designing, organizing, planning, and implementing training courses on cybercrime including cryptocurrency is required.
- Practical professional experience as a professor or trainer is desirable.
- Practical professional experience in criminal law, anti-money laundering and compliance, cybercrime, investigative work with a national law enforcement, intelligence agency or prosecution authority, particularly in the areas of cybercrime, cryptocurrencies investigations, is highly desirable.
- Certification or other qualification in training design and delivery is desirable.
- Experience gained from working with United Nations and/or other international law enforcement organizations is desirable.

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English, with excellent drafting and communication skills, is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language, is an advantage.
