Organizational Setting
Under the overall coordination of the FAO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (REU), the Sub-regional Office for Central Asia (FAO-SEC) is responsible for developing, promoting, overseeing and implementing strategies for addressing organizational priorities relating to sustainable agri-food systems, food security, agriculture and rural development, natural resource management, and climate change in the Central Asia sub-region. FAO-SEC’s technical assistance, provided mainly through projects, includes institution building, development of knowledge and competencies, and exchange of experience among FAO member countries. FAO-SEC supports regional policy dialogue on the above issues, facilitates the emergence of regional and sub-regional partnerships including with regional economic integration organizations, and supports capacity development and resource mobilization in the sub-region. It also supports the FAO Representations in the sub-region with addressing issues related to food security, agriculture, and rural development.
Reporting Lines
Under the overall supervision of the Sub-Regional Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Administrative Officer, the incumbent is expected to ensure execution of transparent and efficient provision of premises and administration of relevant and other associated facility services through a client-focused, quality and results-oriented approach.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Develop and implement a maintenance program for the building and its facilities, including regular inspections and repairs as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including costs, materials used, and any follow-up actions required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Develop/draft Technical Specifications/ToRs in premises domain for further review and clearance by Procurement Unit.
- Responsible for updated schedule of renovation/cleaning/painting of office building scheduled and all office facilities hygienic and in smooth and in running conditions at all times;
- Schedule regular maintenance and provide technical supervision during conduct of those services within the premises to avoid service interruptions as per the requirements;
- When required or as may be instructed by the management; prepare floor layout, sketch designs, detailed costing of architectural, mechanical and electrical items etc.
- Prepare business options/alternatives for administration management’ decision
- Visit project sites and propose efficient business models/options and provide solutions to premises related issues in line with corporate policies and procedures
- Provide technical supervision for refurbishment or construction works in accordance with the necessary technical specifications, building codes and regulations
- Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of facility administration or management advice experience comprising large residential, commercial, or diplomatic sites/buildings at the national or international level.
- Working knowledge (Level C) of English and Turkish.
- National of Turkey or a legal resident in the country.
