Registered Dietician, Park Nicollet Institute Senior

Location: Saint Louis Park, Minnesota

Description: Park Nicollet is currently interviewing Registered Dietician, Park Nicollet Institute Senior right now, this position will be hold in Minnesota. Independently oversees and provides patient care management and education, or conducts research using sound Medical Nutrition Therapy judgment, critical thinking, and clinical knowledge and skills. Provides clinical consultative, educational and research support. Collaborates with primary care and specialty departments within PNHS. Interacts with the community and external customers. Serves as a mentor to other research and educational staff. Interacts with the community and external customers, and disseminates knowledge and expertise to other health professionals including oral presentations and written manuscripts. Education/Experience: BA or BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited college or university. Completed an accredited internship, traineeship, CUP program or other acceptable route to ADA registration status. Three-five years experience practicing as an RD in specialty setting and specialty experience/skills in a specific area. MS/MPH degree preferred. Licensed in the state of Minnesota (LD). Registered with the American Dietetic Association (RD). Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills • Understands and applies teaching/learning principles • Works independently, as well as collaboratively, displaying effective communication skills • Supportive of team members • Works in concert with team members and interdisciplinary staff • Strong prioritization, multi-tasking skills and ability to handle large workload. This position requires direct patient contact: Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination and harassment laws). Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) preferred for IDC Patient Services position. Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or other applicable certification preferred for IDC Research position.

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care in the Bariatric Surgery/Medical Weight Management program. Position will provide service at the Maple Grove Regional Center and Meadowbrook Office Building in St Louis Park.
