The Sport and Recreation branch helps Yukoners stay active and engaged in healthy living by promoting sport, recreation and active living initiatives. We are looking for a self-motivated, strong team player who thrives in an active and fun environment with changing priorities and can demonstrate a professional approach.
The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing service excellence, be detail oriented, care about a well-organized office, and have financial management experience. This position requires someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and is confident in their ability to provide administrative support to the Branch.

Essential Qualifications:
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications – specifically – how your work experiences and related duties align with the essential qualifications shown below. Ensure a month/year format is used for each work experience. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Post-secondary diploma or coursework in business, accounting or office administration;
- Experience providing administrative support and reception services;
- Experience providing financial administration such as accounts payable and receivable, LPOs, RFPs, and reconciliation.
- Experience with Financial Management software systems would be considered as an asset.
- Experience working with transfer payment agreements and funding agreement would be considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

- Attention to detail related to working with complex financial processes
- Ability to remain organized to ensure critical deadlines are met
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Financial Administration Act

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
