HIPPA training completed or able to complete within first week of start date

Duties/Responsibilities
Major responsibility:
Assisting the Critical Care/Acute Care Surgery staff with various clerical duties that may include confidential patient information
Duties and Tasks:
Periodically cover receptionist area
Distributing mail and journals
Pull journal articles requested by faculty from online sources; file, distribute, and record as necessary
Track CME credits for physicians
Print/Distribute Weekly Faculty Calendars (Friday)
Create and Place Monthly Coffee Supply Orders
Scanning and Filing
ImageNow indexing
Distribution and organization of faxes
Photocopying
Preparing surgery pack! ets for patients
Faxing patient orders and prescripti! ons; archiving radiology/films; other patient related
Running errands
Process billing cards; track surgical procedures for physicians
Special projects including setting up electronic files of division publications
Program/Unit Description
This position is in the Division of Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery within the Department of Surgery in the Medical School.
