RN - SICU

Description: Fairview Health Services is looking of RN - SICU right now, this position will be placed in Minnesota. Adult surgical patients who require continuous monitoring including neurosurgery, transplant, and general surgery. Bed capacity: 22. Provides care to critically ill adult patients that have had surgery or trauma which require c! lose observation and monitoring and interventions. Performs advanced monitoring using current technology. Manages complex medication and infusion therapies. Care for patient undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit. Demonstrates ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment.
Physical demands: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting-max 35lbs, push/pull-max. 35 lbs, balance, stooping/crouching, grasping, writing, finger dexterity/keyboarding, reaching, color vision, operate machinery, physical presence at work.
Mental Demands: Frequent people contact, irregular work schedule, supervisory skills, detailed work, frequent interruptions, decision making skills, concentration, ability to work independent, multiple concurrent tasks, frequent deadlines, organizational skills, ability to collaborate with others, express ideas orally, remember and apply information, understand/follow basic instruction
MN RN licensure. A minimum of two! years current medical surgical experience in a hospital setting is required. AD; BSN preferred. BLS required. One year pediatric or adult critical care experience is preferred. Certification by the American Association of Critical Care Nursing is preferred.
