WestHealth is conveniently located on the Northeast corner of Hwy 55 and 494 in Plymouth, Minn.
For over 17 years, we've welcomed and cared for the Western suburban community with exceptional outpatient services designed to fit our guests' busy lifestyles.
Our convenient services include on-site urgent care, a same-day surgery center, imaging (X-ray) services, a lab, pharmacy and more than 50 family and specialty physician clinics.
Responsibilities
Establishes and maintains sterile field for the patient undergoing a surgical procedure to facilitate a saf! e and positive surgical outcome
Effectively communica! tes with all members of the surgery team to ensure safe and efficient outcomes
Maintains a safe, organized, and hazard free working environment to ensure optimal work flow
Actively participates in department development and training to facilitate growth and quality improvement
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Completion of accredited Surgical Technology Program
Certification Required
Minimum of one year in OR or ASC setting
Skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in sterile technique, proper gowning and gloving, use of surgical instrumentation
Knowledge of surgical procedures: specifically, Plastic, General, ENT, OB/GYN, Orthopedic, Opthamology and Urology
Knowledge of, and the ability to act on the Surgical Conscience
Ability to anticipate needs, problem solve, and adapt quickly to a changing situation
Ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and diversity of population served
Licensure/ Certifications: BLS
