Terra Health, Inc, a proud government physician employment firm since 2001, is seeking to hire a contract Anesthesiologist to provide services at the Minneapolis, MN VA Medical Hospital.
Position details:
Contract length: 3-6 months
Contract type: 1099/Locums Physician subcontractor
Compensation: Negotiable work rate, Malpractice coverage, and Locums reimbursement
Primary Role:
The Physician will provide medical direction for CRNA’s or personal administration of anesthesia for the full range of operative procedures including administration of anesthetic agents; insertion of invasive hemodynamic monitoring catheters with ultrasound guidance; difficult airways using alternative intubating devices and advanced techniques in both emergent and non-emergent situations; utilization of multimodal analgesia and the placement of nerve blocks (including interscalene blocks under ultrasound guidance) for post-op pain control; performance of pre-procedure patient assessments including review of the patient’s electronic medical record and focused physical exam, intra-procedure monitoring and m! anagement of post-procedure recovery for both inpatients and o! utpatients.

Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen
- Must be Board Certified in Anesthesiology
- Possess an active, current, full and unrestricted license or registration in any U.S. 50 state.
- Must be ACLS certified
- Prefer TEE experience & current experience with VA computerized patient record system (CPRS).
