Job Overview:
Maintain a timely, thorough and accurate flow of paperwork and information necessary to maintain an effective and proficient billing department; handling clerical functions as directed, assembling information for and following up on freight claims, assuring that shipmenting and! filing of orders is timely and accurate, bills of lading and ! international paperwork is accurately completed and accounting’s expectations are met. Serve as back up to Billing Specialist and be expected to fulfill general warehouse duties as necessary.

Main Responsibilities:
Assist in scheduling of trailers and preparation of bills of lading.
Assist in international outbound administrative activities; schedule containers, keep track of bookings and insure all paperwork is properly filled out and filed afterwards.
Serve as back up for the billing specialist.
Have an understanding of Lean and Lean concepts and the ability to demonstrate everyday incremental improvements within the job scope
Be the central point in the collection of freight claim information as well as insuring timely processing and monitoring of claims.
Populate the freight cost screens of LTL carriers from the day before.
Primarily responsible for shipmenting orders
Interface with internal and external departments in t! he sharing of information to assist in maintaining an effective transportation department.
Collect, file, retrieve, log any paperwork requested by management.
Assist transportation management in collection of information necessary for cost analysis purposes.
Be able to fill and process orders as necessary
Perform other tasks within the scope of this operation as directed.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Be proficient in 10 key operation and have at least average wpm aptitude
Legible hand writing
Ability to speak fluently, read and understand English
Computer knowledge and high math aptitude
Keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Ability to professionally interface with other departments and carrier personnel
Be able to perform general warehouse functions
